What can I serve with a Chicken Hara Tikka?
If you serve this dish as a starter, it is delicious on its own, accompanied by a refreshing mint chutney and cucumber raita. Alternatively, this dish can be served as a main dish with a bed of hot fluffy rice and a selection of warm pieces of bread.
Ingredients
-
500g chicken (diced into large cubes or chicken thighs also work well)
-
1 tbspn olive oil
-
2 tbspn Green chilli paste
-
Juice of 1 lime
-
1 tspn garden mint or 10g of finely chopped fresh mint
-
20g finely chopped fresh coriander
-
1 tbspn Hara Tikka Spice Blend
Directions
First, mix all of the above ingredients for Chicken Hara Tikka in a large bowl and allow the diced chicken to marinade in the mix for at least 2 hours.
After cooking the chicken in a grill or pan, place it onto metal or wooden skewers and barbecue/grill for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Alternatively, you can use a griddle pan or cook in the oven (we recommend this mainly if you are using chicken thighs, cook for 15 to 17 minutes and 200°C fans).
Upon completion, serve the Chicken Hara Tikka Curry on a hot skillet plate with a side of refreshing mint chutney and cucumber raita.
Recipe Note
You can enjoy this as a light lunch or a starter before the main course!
