Bringing together the delicate flavours of garlic, coriander and spicy notes, this blend will let you create mouthwatering seekh kebabs at home; a great addition to any curry evening or barbecued sizzler! 

HOW TO MAKE LIP-SMACKIN' SEEKH KEBABS:

You will need:

  • 500g minced meat (lamb/mutton is best or beef). Ensure there is a good blend of fat in the mince; lean mince is not great for kebabs!
  • 1 small onion (100-150g).
  • Handful of fresh coriander or mint (optional)
  • 1 egg

3 Simple Steps:

  1. Finely dice the onion (use a cheese grater if it's easier and squeeze the juice out). To make your kebabs extra special, add some finely chopped coriander or fresh mint. 
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced meat, egg and spice sachet. Kneed the mix for 5 minutes like a dough (use gloves or a potato masher for this bit!) to ensure your kebabs hold together properly when cooking. Add some fresh chilli if you like it hot, hot! Cover the mix and ideally refrigerate for at least 30 mins. 
  3. Take a small amount of meat (a bit larger than a golf ball) and roll into a sausage or flat burger shape. Cook in a no-stick frying pan on a medium heat, turning frequently for around 6-8 minutes or until cooked through (no extra oil needed if the meat has enough fat). You can also cook in the air fryer, grill or over. 

PRO-TIP: IF you're really skilled, barbeque them with proper metal skewers! Serve with some salad and chutneys (we also do them!). Enjoy!
