
Hydrabadi Chicken Kofta

Pasta comes in many forms, include long and short shapes, tubes, flat shapes or sheets, miniature shapes for soup, those meant to be filled or stuffed, and specialty or decorative shapes. Pasta is a dish that can used in almost any cuisine and by adding a variety of flavours you can bring a plain boring pasta dish to life. And today we have done just that. We have made Chicken Kofta (meat balls) and added Hydrabadi sauce with tagliatelle pasta to create an easy and simple mouth watering dish.

Ingredients
500g chicken/meat mince
1 egg

1 jar Hydrabadi Tarka sauce
Half red onion
1 heaped tsp Hara Tikka Spice Blend
1 heaped tsp oregano
A dozen cherry tomatoes
500g tagliatelle pasta
100g single cream
Add some basil for flavour.
Directions
Place the tomatoes onto a oven safe tray and drizzle some oil, place into oven for approx 20 mins on 200 degrees.
Finely chop half an onion and add this to the mince.
Add 1 heaped tsp Hara Tikka Spice Blend.
Add an egg and mix thoroughly.
Add some oil to a pan.
Make golf ball sized meat balls and place in pan to cook for approx. 5-6 minutes.
Once cooked remove the meat balls and place onto a plate, set aside for now.
Add the jar of Hydrabadi and 70ml of water into the pan.
Add the cream and stir well.
Now add the meat balls back to the pan.
Add some basil to the pan and mix well.
Remove the pan from the hob, time to make the pasta.
Put some water into a pan and add a pinch of salt.
Add the pasta to the pan allow to boil for 3-4 minutes.
Once boiled add the meat balls to the pasta pan.
Gently mix them together, being careful not to break the meat balls.
Plate up the pasta and add the tomatoes from the oven.
This pasta dish goes very well with garlic bread with olive and feta cheese salad!
