Experience Kashmir on a plate with Aagrah's Handi sauce- our shortcut to delicious, hearty meals!  

The Aagrah Handi cooking sauce recipe is taken from the villages of Kashmir and has quickly become a favourite amongst Aagrah diners. This is the traditional dish found in many homes in Kashmir and is perfect for any kind of meat or vegetable.

HEAT LEVEL: Medium

SIZE: 270g (Serves 3-4 or if you like a sauce curry then 2-3)

Creating your delicious Handi - Great with meat, poultry, fish or vegetables

  1. Add 2 desserts spoons of oil into a pan and heat, add 400g of your chosen meat/vegetables and fry until browned.
  2. Stir in the base, add 100ml of water to the jar, replace lid, swirl around and add this to the pan.
  3. Bring to the boil with the lid on and simmer gently until thoroughly cooked and your Handi reaches the desired consistency. To make your Handi really special add a handful of chopped fresh coriander – delicious!

Best curry sauce there is!

Been using aargrah for years from being a young lad visiting the Thornbury restaurant to buying the tarka sauces to this day and I'm confident in saying they're the best jarred sauces outside of visiting the restaurant 👌. I regularly buy them and have had every tarka and handi always hits the spot. Perfect with chicken, lamb and as a keema too, perfect heat level and not too spicy. Flawless, the best curry sauce/paste out there and a perfect 5 star all day, everyday 😋

Super curry sauces we have used all them , all nice quality but could do with a hotter version as well . I would recommend though as a good base for any curry .
