Machli Spice Blend

Machli (fish) Masala is found is many Indian restaurants, but you will have to go a long way to find one as delicious as the one you will make at home with Aagrah Machli Spice Blend.
Ingredients: Rice flour, ground coriander, salt, gram flour, red chilli, turmeric, garlic powder, cumin, caraway, ginger powder, cardamom. May contain traces of gluten, egg, milk, sesame, soya, sulphites, barley, peanuts and nuts.
How to create our delicious Machli marinade:
You will need:
- 500g fish (haddock or cod) cut into 5 or 6 pieces
- Juice of 2 limes
- One tablespoon Machli Spice Blend
- Mix all the ingredients together with the fish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
- Deep fry the fish at med/high heat for approx 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve with mango chutney

An easier way to use this lovely flovoursome spice mix which isn't too hot is to coat fish pieces in the powdered spices for about 30 mins - adding NOTHIUNG else - then bake in a hot oven for 10-12 mins. Serve with tarka dal and some raita for a tasty, healthy and filling meal.
