Grill, Cook, and Savor the True Taste of Tikka Masala!

The UK's most popular Indian dish, Tikka Masala was created in the UK. The Aagrah Foods Tikka Masala cooking sauce recipe lets you stick to the traditional method of making this dish - by first grilling the chicken. The dish consists of grilled chunks of chicken cooked in a creamy, spicy sauce.

HEAT LEVEL: Medium

SIZE: 270g (Serves 3-4 or if you like a saucy curry then 2-3)

Creating your delicious Tikka Masala - Great with meat, poultry, fish or vegetables

  1. To make your Tikka Masala really special, marinade the chicken in 2 dessert spoons of the base for at least 1 hour or ideally overnight.
  2. Grill the meat under a medium heat until thoroughly cooked.
  3. Empty the remaining jar contents into a pan, add 100ml of water to the jar, replace lid, swirl around and add this to the pan.
  4. Stir in 40g of single cream* and bring to the boil.
  5. Add your grilled meat/vegetables and stir through until cooked and sauce reaches the desired consistency. Serve with rice, naan bread or chapati’s – delicious!

*Double cream, mild yoghurt or a dairy free alternative will also work well.

Tikka Masala

I bought the masala sauce. So easy to make and full of flavour. Thumbs up there. I have to say though was a touch on the hot side for a medium and tried to cool down with more cream but that didn't work. Any advice would be great. Will try yoghurt next time or a milder sauce.

My favourite curry sauce

Love making this curry, just add chicken, an onion and a few mushrooms, finally some yoghurt. Absolutely perfect

The Tikka Masala is a very tasty sauce which all the family love. W'e've tried the Balti sauce too, this is also really good.
An issue in transit with 2 jars caused a failure of the air tight seal, this was quickly resolved and replacements were sent out to us. Super customer service!

As close to restaurant standard as you’ll get. I’d put this at the hotter end of medium but you can easily bring it down a notch with a bit of Greek yoghurt. If you prefer a lot of sauce add a little extra single cream.

Lovely, but a bit hot for me

I enjoyed this sauce, but it was a little too hot for me. I added more cream than the instructions state and that helped. I made a mistake when ordering. I meant to order the case of mixed sauces but ordered Tikka Masala. I contacted Aagrah telling them that I made a mistake, but although my message was read there was no acknowledgement from them. It would have been a 4 star review, but for this reason I have knocked off a star for lack of communication.

Great product, not so great packaging

The sauces are great & very delicious in taste. Packaging was not good, though, 1 jar broke in transport - so as constructive feedback for next time, please use more packaging aid to avoid the jars breaking.
