Hand over Fist - Aagrah Recipe Book
The name Aagrah has become synonymous with excellence, and the restaurant chain has featured in many publications as diverse as the Michelin Guide, the Real Restaurant Guide, and Pat Chapman's Cobra good Curry Guide.
Mohammed Aslam, among the most charismatic of chefs, not only shares his recipes from the Aagrah kitchen, but also writes movingly of the other recipe that has resulted in his family's success.
With ingredients like STRENGTH, COMMUNICATION, RESPONSIBILITY, and HUMOUR, together with the occasional addition of qualities like FEAR, LOSS & FORGIVENESS, the Aagrah cookbook gives the reader a lot more to cook up than just another curry.
First class book. Some brilliant Aggrah menus, but the jewel in crown is the history of how the Aggrah was founded and how it developed into a leading restaurant chain. Beautiful photos, and a wonderful addition to my book collection, although it will get used frequently!
looks great however trying to read the recipes is difficult due to the colours and glossines of the pages a real shame.
Prompt delivery with some interesting recipes inside. I hope I can replicate the dishes they serve in their restaurants.
Sauces are excellent and very authentic. Some I had never heard off but I really enjoyed them. I will definitely be re-ordering soon.
Brilliant recipe book! easy to follow, and it gives alternatives to use if you can't find a certain ingredient given in the recipe. lovely history about how the company formed...love the photos too! 👍 X
